Beans or Beef? Which is healthier? Beans are much lower in total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol, and higher in fiber and iron. Plus, beans are an essential nutrient to prevent cancer.
Beef is double the calories, triple the total fat and saturated fat, significantly higher in cholesterol (beans have none), lower in iron, and has no fiber at all.
Which is better for you? Start adding more beans to your diet and reduce your consumption of red meat and all animal meat.
