At The Fork, A Journey into the World of Animal Agriculture
After a lifetime of eating meat and animal products, film director, John Papola and his vegan wife, decide to go out and see what’s behind his baby-back ribs and hamburger and see first-hand how animals are raised for food today. They travel thousands of miles across the country to meet with animal experts and small and large-scale farmers for an unbiased and honest look at how animals are raised for human consumption.
This thoughtful, new documentary is an eye-opening journey into the world of animal agriculture and its impacts. What Papola discovers is that America’s farmers are not just a collection of heartless industrialists, but rather, real people who, alongside him, are struggling with the moral scope and impact of raising and farming animals for food today.
