Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2
Five years after filming his first blockbuster film, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead that documented Joe Cross’s 60-day fast and return to health—Joe brings us his entertaining and informative sequel, Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead 2.
In this documentary Joe is back on the road interviewing people from around the world about their health, diet and battles with food. He interviews many leading nutrition, medical and health experts who support ways to improve diet, eating habits and overall health. He follows up with folks from the first film to see how they are doing five years later with their diet. Even Joe himself shares his struggle to maintain his weight and health due to his grueling work schedule and frequent road trips, and confesses how he needs to “reboot” to get himself back on track by juicing more often and eating more plants and less processed, packaged food. But the film also explores and underlines the importance of surrounding yourself with people who will encourage and support you to keep you on track, and if you don’t have a built-in community of support, to create one.
The film empowers, inspires and reminds us how to make healthy habits that last for the long-term, and how our lifestyle choices have a huge impact on our overall health.
